HANDS ON ART STUDIO IS SPONSORING THE 5TH ANNUAL "ART DAY FOR ANIMALS", BENEFITTING THE DOOR COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY, ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 10, 2009, FROM 10AM TO 6PM DURING PUMPKIN PATCH WEEKEND.

THIS FUN FAMILY DAY FOR ALL FEATURES ACTIVITIES AND GAMES FOR KIDS AND ADULTS. TAKE A WALK ON THE HAUNTED TREASURE HUNT. HOP A HAY WAGON FOR RIDES THROUGH THE FIELDS. CLIMB IN THE GIANT HAY CASTLE. PLAY THEMED GAMES FOR FUN PRIZES. PET AND FEED THE ANIMALS.

ART DAY FOR ANIMALS IS FEATURING TWO LARGE METAL SCULPTURES, A CAT AND A DOG, FOR INSTALLATION ON THE GROUNDS OF THE D.C.H.S. EVERYONE IS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FABRICATION OF THESE SCULPTURES.

DONATIONS WILL BE REQUESTED FOR JOINING IN THE DAY OF ACTIVITIES.

THE DOOR COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY WILL BE ON SITE WITH PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.

FOOD, SNACKS, DRINKS AND BEER ARE AVAILABLE.

The Santa Fe Shop & Gallery in the heart of Fish Creek (on Main Street across from On Deck, Bayside Tavern etc.) just notified us today that:

1) They are closing out all their area rugs, so they are all 50% off. Sizes range from 4' by 6.' Rugs to Runner size Rugs to 2' by 4' Mats in a variety of styles and colors. We were in the shop alst week and some of these are stunningly beautiful! A real buy!
