Here and there

More snow last night. . . about three inches in Egg Harbor.
Moving on, people keep informing me of all their plans for this spring and summer.
I got an e-mail from Pat Fuller, president-elect, Door County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The wildly popular House and Garden Walk is set for Tuesday, July 29.
Have you been to Liberty Square, the shopping center in Egg Harbor? It’s continuing to develop and will soon have a European-style bakery, Brigitte Sonne, the owner of Country Lady/Country Squire (an adorable shop in Liberty Square) tells me.
I saw a number of people at an event last night. Judi Ekholm is busy getting ready for a big show of her spectacular oil paintings at Edgewood Orchard Galleries, Fish Creek, in July. Barbara Bentley told me that painter Bob Bentley has a new series of whimsical and arty Door County village paintings coming out this season. The couple has a gallery/study in Ellison Bay.
Did you know that Karin Overbeck teaches mosaic art in the basement of her home/schoolhouse? That’s in Sturgeon Bay. Karin also offers garden tours of the beautiful and award-winning grounds, and I’ll write about that when the time is right.
After all, right now, right here, there is snow for cross country skiing, How wonderful! Until next time, see you here and there on the Door Peninsula, Donna Marie Pocius, freelance writer
