Isadoora Announces Cast for “The Dinner Party”

Isadoora Theatre Company (Door County, WI) is pleased to announce the cast for their February production of Neil Simon’s “The Dinner Party.” The play, directed by Henry Timm, will show at the Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay on February 11-14 & 18-21.

“The Dinner Party” begins when a mysterious invitation brings six divorcees together for dinner at a swank Parisian restaurant. In this humorous yet profound examination of marriage, the group speculates wildly about their conspicuously absent host, the apparent secrecy regarding the invitation, and the party’s true purpose. The Dinner Party is perhaps Simon’s most personal play, as sharp and frequently painful truths lurk behind the laugh lines – truths that should be evident to anyone who has ever undergone marriage followed by divorce.

The cast features some faces very familiar on the TAP stage along with a couple of newcomers to Isadoora: Stuart Champeau as Claude, David Smrz as Albert, Dan Hitt as Andre, Lola DeVillers as Mariette, Clara Wendland as Yvonne, and Chris Milton as Gabrielle.

The director Henry Timm is backed by an experienced production team including Stage Manager Elizabeth Bobbe, Lighting & Sound Designer David Alley, Costume & Prop Designer Margaret Magle, Set Builder Steve Graf, and Assistant to the Director Kathleen Harris.

“The Dinner Party” will be performed at the Third Avenue Playhouse, 239 N. Third Ave in Sturgeon Bay, on February 11-14 & 18-21. Thursday through Saturday performances are at 7:30 PM with a matinee on each Sunday at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for students. You may purchase tickets for “The Dinner Party” by contacting Third Avenue Playhouse by phone at (920) 743-1760, at their box office (hours Mon-Fri 10:00 am to 3:00 pm), or at the Dancing Bear, 12 N Third Ave, Sturgeon Bay (open seven days a week).
