Exciting news!  Sophia, the daughter of one of our great helpers at DoorCountyNavigator.com, Leif Lautenbach, will from time to time give us a kid's perspective on places in Door County!  So those of you traveling with family, tune in to Through the Eyes of Sophia whose "column" will appear here on the BLOG and on DoorCountyNavigator.com as well from within our regular reviews!

Hi, my name is Sophia. I’m 8 years old. I have a big sister, a mom, and a dad. Their names are Allison, Amy and Leif. I had 3 pets. Two cats and a dog but my dog died on March 23rd, 2010 so now I only have 2 cats. Angel and Pretty are their names. My dog's name was Rudy. I broke my leg when I was 6 and I had a pink cast. My favorite color is turquoise. My favorite animal is a dog and baby bunnies. I play softball. I play for North Shore Bank. My favorite flower is a tulip and a rose. I go to Sevastopol school, home of the Pioneers. I like going to Hong Kong Buffet after my softball games. I like going camping at Vista Royale in the middle of the summer with my cousins the McCormicks and my mom and dad's best friends. While camping I almost caught a 1 foot catfish.
