The Door Community Auditorium celebrates the magic of the holidays…
Season’s Greetings

Presented by Theatreworks USA

In the tradition of masterful magician Harry Houdini, Tim and Robin Balster wave their wand, or possibly it belonged to Harry of Hogwart fame, as the curtain rises on a fun-filled family performance. Celebrating the world’s holiday traditions, Season’s Greetings will be presented at the Door Community Auditorium on Saturday, November 29 at 3 pm and 7 pm. It is a not too be missed treat for every age!
Staged in a winter wonderland, Season’s Greetings features the colorful magic of mischievous elves, toy soldiers, and snow white doves. Children and adults will delight in the mystery and surprise of magic, some tricks traditional while others are new and innovative. Performed with lightning-fast speed, the Balsters are adept at casting a spell that lingers long after the show has concluded.
With a nod to Houdini who immigrated to Appleton, Wisconsin from Hungary in 1874, the Balsters are wizards at creating mystifying magic. Doves soar, candles disappear, and a Christmas elf floats in air…the finale even features one of Houdini’s “the metamorphosis,” one of his most famous tricks.
Established in 1961, Theatreworks USA annually presents professional theatre for youthful audiences and their families. A non-profit organization, Theatreworks USA seeks to enlighten, entertain, and instruct through a variety of productions including Season’s Greetings.

More than 78 million people in 49 states and Canada have enjoyed Theatreworks USA productions, learning while being entertaining.
Whether celebrating Christmas with a bright shining tree, commemorating Hanukkah with the lighting of the Menorah, or honoring African heritage during Kwanzaa, Season’s Greeting brings peoples of all cultures and traditions to a place of universal understanding. This one-hour program will kick off the holidays with a rare combination of fun and frolic.
