“Five Friends” Paintings at Glas coffeehouse

September 6-30, 2012

Pat Olson, Lynn Gilchrist, Mac Schueppert, Bethany Kirwen and Faith Frykman, five Sturgeon Bay artist friends, will display their recent paintings September 6-30, at Glas coffeehouse, 67 East Maple Street, Sturgeon Bay (just south of the Maple-Oregon Bridge in the Cellcom building).
Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments at their opening reception Monday evening, September 10, from 5:30 to 7pm.

Nationally-known artist Pat Olson’s fine art paintings and designs in pastel, acrylic and oil pastel include still life paintings and whimsical Door County posters and prints.
Award-winning painter Lynn Gilchrist will show her intensely-colored landscapes and still life oil paintings.

Award-winning painter Mac Schueppert will display her scenes (landscapes) in pastel.
Bethany Kirwen, winner of Door County Maritime Museum's 2009 'Paint the Bay', will exhibit her recent pastel and mixed-media paintings.

Faith Frykman will be displaying her new acrylic and oil pastel abstract paintings.

September Music Series at The Cookery

(August 23, 2012 – Fish Creek) -  The Cookery’s wine bar will host a music series during the fall months starting Labor Day weekend. The series features Eddie Smith and Tommy Burroughs on September 1, Mighty Mouth with Jay Whitney on September 7, Julian Hagen on September 15, Chris Irwin and Jeanne Kuhns on September 21, and Steve Schad on September 28.

The music will take place in the wine bar and starts at 7:30 p.m. The wine bar’s small plate, appetizer and dessert menu will be available before and during the show. There is no cover charge.

The Cookery’s wine bar is open daily until 8:30 pm on weekdays and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The Cookery is located at 4135 Highway 42, Fish Creek. For more information about the music calendar or The Cookery, visit cookeryfishcreek.com or call 920-868-3634.
